    Donnington WSBK

    Anybody fancy going ?

Its the last chance to see Bayliss ride and its highly likely he will take the World Championship title at Donnington too as he only has to maintain his lead or not loose more than 7 points to Neukirchner.

    Not many takers then Sad

I thought a few of the east midlands bikers would be up for a trip out especially seeing there have been hardly any ride outs this year with the cr@p summer

I might go on the Sunday. Just waiting to see if the weather will be ok first, i've had enough of standing in rain this year!

I was going to try and make it - but I got to be out of my house on the 12th September now, so will  be spending that weekend packing my stuff up - and making room in my dads garage for my stuff that wont be going into storage (like my bike)

    Re: Donnington WSBK

Just checked one of the many weather forecasts for the Nottingham area tomorrow, 30% chance of rain
But that'll mean sweet FA  and it's gonna piss down

TBH if it continues raining all night i can see it being cancelled like Silverstone last year. The ground is so wet the water has nowhere to go when it rains.

    Re: Donnington WSBK

Good day today, suprised at how quiet it was. Got there for about 9.15 this morning and went straight to the Melbourne loop where the Supersports were out practising for what looked like a wet day - then followed by the WSB

It's been quite a weekend for Troy Corsa and unfortunately binned it in the practice laps. A quick rebuild for the team and a clean out of gravel and grass

Their was a tribute to the late Craig Jones and Tommy Hill was given the honour of riding a lap on the number 18 Honda

As the morning went on, the track got dryer so we decided to walk about

But it didn't last long and by the final WSB race is was absolutely pissin' down

    Kwacky:

    Good photos Yes

I'm not surprised it was empty.  Lots of places were flooded in the midlands. I'm sure that the rain over Saturday and the poor forecast put most people off travelling to Donny

And the cost! I think in the current climate, charging £50 to get in they will not get many takers!

Superb pictures Yes Hope you had a good day and the weather didn't ruin it for you.

Shame about the white flag cock up by Sykes and Haslam, would have been great for Sykes to have won it.
