    Creaking suspension

I'm probably gonna get the bike booked in to get this checked out but...

Has anyone suffered from creaking rear suspension, it only seems to do it when the bike is hot and it sounds like it's coming from the lower end of the rear spring ?!

I know the obvious fix... Tell the fat bastard on top to lose some weight Confused or is there a more mechanical explanation ??

Is it definantly from the bike and not your own joints?  Not had any creaking on mine sorry.

I wouldn't think the spring would creak...much more likely the linkages. Sounds like they need lubing.

Apply lubricant liberally.......then try not to highside.

Sounds like a dry linkage, getting a bit tight as it warms up. Perhaps it needs a new bearing/bush but I'd go with lubing it first.

Try some high temp KY, Kwacks got loads of it.

    Re: Creaking suspension

Given the linkages a quick spray of WD40 and all seems to be well again, just need to find a dry day when i can get out for a spin..

I think i know what caused it now thinking about it.. just before the track evening I gave the bike a really good clean, including the chain and rear sprocket. They got cleaned with some muc off spray, i guess i must have got some on the suspension linkages Embarrassed
