    Brands WSB

Just got back from Brands WSB.

It was a great weekend, the weather wasn't as bad as predicted and trhere was some superb racing in both WSB races. It will be sad not to have Bayliss racing anymore next year though, he will be a big miss.

On a more solemn note though, Craig Jones was seriously injured in the WSS race and was taken to hospital with a very bad head injury...it didn't look good at all. Hope he recovers quickly!

Just watched it back on TV. It certainly looks like a nasty crash. The back end went out a bit more than usual and kept going and he went down right into the path of another bike. Here's hoping he makes a good and quick recovery.

The rest of the races were superb though. Real edge of the seat stuff.

Shit - just watched the you tube clip. That looks nasty. Did the other bike hit him too? Or just the impact with the ground? Its hard to tell on my pc at work. Terrible graphics card.

    Re: Brands WSB

From what's been reported he was hit a couple of times by Pits bike.

The Supersport class is so close that it's difficult for riders to react in that sort of situation.

Jonesy was on it at every turn at Brands because his bike lost so much ground on the back straight. It's not often that you see people get past before Hawthorns at Brands but Rea was managing it through straight line speed and drive. I hope Jonesy pulls through and makes a speedy recovery. He is a truely exciting rider to watch.

Oh I hope Jonesy is ok.

Thoughts are very much with Karen & his family.

Such a talented & lovely guy.

Confirmed - he's passed away early this morning.

    Such a sad loss.

Hard to believe he's not with us any longer.
