Hey D6, How are your tyres now you're back on the road? Sounds like they performed well at Mallory. Yes

    Re: 12 members

It was weird at first riding back from Mallory - until I got used to them on bumpy roads.  I have found my confidence again though.  I had been going round islands and sharp bends with little feedback from the front.  In fact I just couldn't tell if there was any grip.  On the way back with the BT016 I felt like I was going round bends and islands 10mph faster than the worn tyres.  Just seem to have so much more feeling.

Maybe it is because all day was spent on track and I was a bit more switched on - but I really do think there was a big difference.  I'm not necessarily saying they are better than my other tyres yet  - As I am comparing them against a worn front of about 5000 miles and squared rear of 3000 miles, so obviously they'd feel better than those.  But I cant fault them at all yet in dry conditions.

Really grippy on the side (ask DA - he was telling me I dont lean off at all - yet was getting round the track at good rate - and they were keeping me upright despite riding all the way to the edge of the tyre)

At highspeed they were stable, and the drop into a corner was very predictable.  Not as fast as I thought it would be - but better for me.

On track I was struggling to get my bike upright when powering out of Gerrards - but think that ws my body positioning - and nowt to do with the tyres.

I give them 5 thumbs up. YesYesYesYesYes

I've got a feeling they might wear better / longer without squaring off so much. I've done about 2000 miles on them now wet and dry and they seem to be holding up extremely well. In fact at the moment I'm only running a BT016 rear - still got the old BT014 on the front - but I'm still impressed.

I suspect that you've got more confidence in new proper shaped tyres and just coming off a track day as well though Smile

He did things to you in that caravan, didn't he?  You went to see him late at night and he took advantage of you.
