always is. I think it's just tradition. It's always been the last Saturday in June.

    Re: MotoGP - Assen TT

Did anyone see the Hopkins crash yesterday ? that was just scary as impressions go of rag dolls flying through gravel at 100mph + then hitting the air fence that has to be one of the best Wink

Surely Melandri is days away from being sacked. Dead last in qualifying, over 3 seconds behine impressive stoner, 1.5 seconds behind the slowest privateer Ducati and 1 second behind the next slowest man on the track.

    Marco Melandri - Seventeenth

`I don´t know what to say, other than that I am extremely disappointed to be in a position that doesn´t correspond to my ability, or clearly that of the bike. We´re all trying so hard but we just can´t find a solution to our problems and it´s going to be a very tough race tomorrow

Racing is everything, anything before or after is waiting

The bizarre thing about Melandri is that he's quite often the quickest through the speed trap. Someone needs to tell the guy less is more Smile

I think it would be a good thing for him to bail out of the contract early and try and get a fresh ride next year. The problem is, will anyone risk giving him a ride now? He's obviously a talented guy - you don't lose that level of skill overnight.

JT was doing a solid job again but I worry for his chances next year if Edwards leaves the team. At the moment he seems to be taking his cues for setup from the other side of the garage because the riding style is very similar. I'm sure JT will suss it all out and just get better and better. One of the problems out there now days is the shear quality of the whole field. Apart from Stoner yesterday 2nd to 13th were covered for much of the session by 10th's of a second.

I see there are some rumours Gibernau will replace him in the next race if his tests go well!

Strange how a good rider can struggle so much with a different bike.

How unlucky is Bradley - he had the race win sewn up before the rain!

    Exciting 5 lapper though Smile
