I thought the weekend of racing at Catalunya was a fairly good one. Ok, Dani one the race by a mile (did he have the new engine?) but the race behind him was fairly decent. Free practice and qualifying was interesting and it was good to see Hayden lighting the rear up and leaving a big black streek on the track on a long left hander - who says you can't spin the wheel up and slide in these days of traction control?
JT had a solid race and again proved he can come through the field. He himself was left no where to go by Rossi and dropped back down the field - but does he complain? No... he just gets on with the job and continues to learn.
Capirossi was unlucky to be shunted off the track but he realises it's a racing incident.
So why does Chris Vermeulen feel the need to whinge so much about agressive overtaking and racing incidents?
This from the weekend:
"Chris Vermeulen also blamed de Angelis for hitting him at the first corner as he ended up seventh."
He used to race Superbikes, he should understand what real racing is about.
