Double World Superbike champion and 2008 MotoGP rookie James
Toseland has leant his support to the Interphone National Road Rally,
to be staged in the UK on 5/6th July.
"We can't all be lucky enough to ride in GPs, but all motorcyclists
can take part in the Interphone National Road Rally, and test their
navigational and riding skills on England's beautiful country lanes
over a summer weekend," said Toseland, who qualified second and
finished sixth on his recent MotoGP debut at Qatar.
"This year is the 75th anniversary of the event and once again
riders are being encouraged to raise funds for Mencap. So why not give
it a go and join over a thousand other riders on a great historical
ride. Good luck," added the Yamaha Tech 3 rider.
As Toseland mentioned, 2008 is the 75th anniversary of the
road-based event, which comprises over 50 control points around England
with a final Control at Bletchley Park (famous for code breaking work
during the Second World War).
Those interested in taking part can visit
www.nationalroadrally.co.uk or telephone 01788 566400 for an entry
form. Entries close on 6th June.
