Has anyone seen, heard or read any traffic info on which way to go in and where to park etc?

Usually this is sent out with the tickets and is on the website.

This year there is nothing which doesn't bode well as they are so disorganised and disinterested with getting people in and out the circuit at the best of times at Donington!

Been to Qualifying today with missus and son.

They do have bar code readers there now and read every ticket going in!

Also be aware that its likely to be muddy tomorrow. To be fair they are making attempts to improve the place with hardcore down on a lot of th walk ways. Lots more decent food places too.

    Re: Donnington Motogp

The toilets on the campsite were few and far between and didn't seem to get cleaned at all and were Ick! Overall the organisation of the campsite was pretty good and there were police and fire patrols almost 24 hrs.

Inside the circuit I think a few things have been done to improve things. Starkeys has had a face lift and the toilets next to starkeys is no longer just a wall to pee up - it has proper urinals and a roof! Smile

The program was good value and the track action went on until 20:30 on the Saturday.

The evening entertainment was a con - it cost £10 to get in and you had to buy drinks from starkeys so it would have turned into a very expensive evening!

There were plenty of big screens dotted around the circuit and we managed to get a good spot at the Melbourne Loop just opposite a screen for race day - although we only just squeezed in at the front and that was with leaving the camp site at 7.30. The racing was good - gutted for JT but over the moon for Scot Redding (I suspected he would get some good results this year but a win is fantastic). Other than that I think the motoGP race wasn't anything particularly special.

Stoner was whinging aboiut getting boos from the crowd and said people were sticking up signs calling him a w*nker. Not sure where that was but I think he is getting het up about nothing. Where I was sat everyone applauded him. I don't particularly like the guy and think he's a bit over the top when he stares and gesticulates to other riders that he feels get in his way, but you can't deny his genius - especially after seeing him ride the wheels off the bike like he does.

Getting out of the park was a nightmare. Luckily I was on the bike and could filter out most of the way - although my bike was quite wide with the tent and pamiers strapped to the back. It must have been a nightmare in a car though!

All in all a great experience but I'm not sure I'll be bothering again.I might reconsider if Donington Parks cleaning was taken over by the same people as MSV but at the moment that's the major problem there. I think next year if I go it will be just for race day or I'll travel each day.
